After several weeks of elevated ESR, my ESR has finally reduced to 2. My ferretin levels are also now down to 607. These had been consistently high at around 2500 (previous high was 45000). As I have made steady progress my steroids are now being reduced. I have been at 15mg for several months so am now dropping to 12.5mg. My skin problems have levelled out, although not totally resolved. My legs are still giving me problems but not as seriously as before. The Hydroxizine seems to be helping more than chlorphenamine.

After several weeks of skin problems my ESR has started to reduce. It was down to 20 at the styart of February, and has now lowered to 10 (21/02/08). My ferritin has also come down to 607 after being around 2500 for several months. My platelets are also down at 347.

To control the skin irritation I have started to take Hydroxizine Hydrochloride(25mg) 2 or 3 times a day. This seems to be more effective than the previous Chlorphenamine regime. I have also changed back to Tramadol rather than codeine phosphate. This seems to control my pain more effectively.
